Ali interprets the desert’s old gates through a belief in magic and adventure films. Hidden keys are expected to come with enormous monsters because that is how a good story would work. Even the gates opening seems like further proof of magic rather than a reason to question the idea.

	You need to find the three keys hidden in this desert
	And if it's like any of the films I've watched, they'll be guarded by ginormous monsters
	That's my best guess
	I mean, that's what I would do if I wanted to hide some keys
	I only know where one key is: it's in the valley just opposite the gate here
	Be careful - there are some pretty weird cultists down there
	And they probably know all sorts of crazy magic
	It definitely is!
	Have you never seen the eggcups and balls trick?
	The gate has opened by itself!
