Reference article
Ref
Ref is a resident in
Quackbeard's Cove in
Duck Life 9: The Flock.
Personality
Ref takes an interest in the tournament circuit but is disappointed by how little refereeing it requires. With only one straightforward rule and no racers breaking it, the job mostly involves sitting and watching. Ref suspects most competitors do not even realise a referee is there.

Hey there!
You're a racer, aren't you?
Thought so - I recognised you from the last tournament in Spring Meadows
Thanks! It's standard issue for us umpires
I work as a referee on the Featherhaven Island Tournament circuit
Being up here gives me a good view of the races
It's good, yeah...
Well...
I mean, I never get to do anything
The only rule in the races is to travel along the track
And no one's ever been stupid enough not to do that
So I just sit here and watch all the time
I'll try...
Nope, never had to make a judge call or anything
I bet you didn't even know your races had referees
No, of course you didn't
