Duck Life 3: Evolution

Choose one of four specialised ducks, train through three leagues and challenge the Champion Duck.

Overview

Duck Life 3 introduces four genetically modified duck types with different strengths and weaknesses. A newspaper announces the unnamed The Farmer’s discovery, and the player chooses an egg to raise into a champion. The four selectable ducks are separate individuals; the Flying Duck is later known as Brad the Bird.

Choosing a duck

Choose Strength Duck, Athletic Duck, Flying Duck or Swimming Duck. All begin as baby ducks, then change form as new leagues unlock. Race multipliers alter performance without changing the stored training level.

Training and food

Practise Running, Swimming, Climbing, Flying and collect Coins. Raise Energy by feeding Seed or SuperSeed from the home-screen dispensers. Each league introduces a new version of every training activity. Racing-skill training caps rise from 50 to 100 to 150.

All races and progression

Each league has three sequential qualifiers and three sequential finals against three Rival Ducks. Win the Amateur finals to reach Advanced, then the Advanced finals to reach Professional. The last Professional victory opens a portal. There are eighteen league races and one champion race.

Evolution and appearance

The Evolution system changes appearance with league progression. There is no hat-and-colour shop in this game. The four paths lead to different Professional forms, and entering the Portal presents the player as the Supreme Duck. Returning to an earlier league uses the earlier form.

The champion and postgame

The Champion Race adds obstacles that the player clicks to destroy while the duck races automatically. Defeat the Champion Duck to unlock the Throne Room, Arcade and a 500,000-coin reward. The arcade includes high-score training and Domo Kun Shootout.

Original Flash and the Unity edition

Flash and Retro Pack share duck specialisations and league progression. Controls, some names, energy caps and achievements differ. See Duck Life 3 Editions for the edition comparison.
