Learn to Jump: Find the Trainer
Doris points you toward the Jumping trainer in the second town.
In-game objective
According to Doris there's a trainer in town that will teach you how to jump. Go pay him a visit!
Talk to Doris
Once you arrive in your second town, listen to 
Doris Dewdrop explain that a trainer there can teach Jumping.
Find the training room
Go to the Jumping trainer in 
Race Town if you visited Battle Town first, or in 
Battle Town if you visited Race Town first. This is the trainer visit before the tournament; the later Jumping objective tracks learning the skill.
